Valores existenciais e sentidos de vida de estudantes de cursos de licenciatura

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the existential values and meanings of life that motivate licentiate degree students at UFJF to choose and remain in this modality. This study considers theoretical references such as logotherapy and existential analysis by Viktor Frankl (1905- 1997) and (auto)biographical research (Momberger - 2011; 2012; 2016, Josso - 2007, Passeggi - 2017). It is also motivated by questioning our choices on the educational and professional fields, specifically the ones made by undergraduate students. To this end, students from different licentiate degrees were invited to build (auto)biographical narratives approaching a temporal perspective of their own educational training trajectory, contemplating past, present, and future. The narratives were made using an online form with questions designed specifically for this dissertation. The analysis ofthe data is written as a dialogue with four (auto)biographical narratives, in which it was possible to identify, among other phenomena, theexistential values and meanings of life that motivated these students to choose and remain in alicentiate degree.
