| Resumo: | Partindo das análises das perspectivas de D. Vital (bispo ultramontano) e Rui Barbosa (1849-1923), Saldanha Marinho (1816-1895) e Joaquim Nabuco (1849-1910), o presente texto se debruçará em entender como se desenvolveu a questão religiosa, qual foi seu ápice e quais as motivações de ambos os lados. Nesse sentido, compreender quais os impactos dos discursos dos interlocutores progressistas para a posterior resolução do conflito religioso instaurado na década de 70 do século XIX e quais as motivações dos Bispos ortodoxos para impor interditos aos maçons católicos. Além disso, o texto tentará demonstrar qual foi a reação da maçonaria ante as imposições pautadas no Syllabus de Pio IX e como a Coroa diante do episódio se posicionou. |
| Abstract: | Analysing the perspectives of D. Vital (ultramontane bishop),Rui Barbosa (1849- 1923), Saldanha Marinho (1816-1895) and Joaquim Nabuco (1849-1910), this text will focus on understanding the development of the so-called Religious Question, its peak and the motivations at stake. In this sense, to understand the impacts of the speeches of progressive interlocutors for the subsequent resolution of the religious conflict established in the 70's of the 19th century and what are the motivations of the Orthodox Bishops to impose interdicts on Catholic Freemasons. In addition, the text will try to demonstrate the reaction of Freemasonry to the impositions based on the Syllabus of Pius IX, as well as the position taken by the Crown . |
