Evolução do estado nutricional de crianças menores de 5 anos acompanhadas pelo Sisvan e Programa Bolsa Família no município de Governador Valadares-MG

Abstract

The objective of this study was to check the evolution of nutritional status among children under five years of age accompanied by SISVAN and the Family Grant Program in the municipality of Governador Valadares-MG, from 2008 to 2016, and to indicate the health areas of Family Health Strategy that have the highest prevalence of nutritional disorders in the year 2017.It was a descriptive retrospective study, and the data was obtained through SISVAN Web on the Department of Health website. In the classification of nutritional status, the anthropometric indexes Height / Age and BMI / Age were used. A survey was carried out at the beginning of 2017 on the nutritional status of this population according to the areas covered by the Family Health Strategy of the municipality. The most prevalent nutritional deviation in the city during the period studied was overweight; however, there is still high prevalence of stature and weight deficits, contrary to regional and national trends, requiring further investigation of the latter findings. The importance of a well-structured system for constructing a real and predictive historical series of the nutritional status of the population as a whole, especially the infantile one, is evidenced.
