Atuação do enfermeiro no transplante de células-tronco hematopoéticas: da pré-internação à alta hospitalar

Abstract

The Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) is a treatment for diseases that until recently were considered incurable. Transplants are categorized into three types: autologous and allogeneic cells Syngeneic used and may be originated from bone marrow, peripheral blood and umbilical cord. Because it is an aggressive and intrinsic procedure requires the assistance of skilled and trained professionals. The purpose of this study was to describe the importance of the nurse's performance during all stages of HSCT. For the practice of this study was carried out a literature search using works that addressed the issue at hand. It was observed that the action developed by the Nurse in HSCT process is comprehensive and indisputable. However, little propagated in the scientific community. Given the inference, the need for new scientific production is explicit as well as greater integration of the nurse in the spread of their experience and knowledge developed throughout their day to day on the steps of HSCT.
