Gestão democrática e a participação da família na escola: estudo de caso de uma escola estadual do Amazonas

Abstract

This dissertation, developed in the Professional Postgraduate Program in Management and Evaluation of Public Education of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, discusses the democratic management and the participation of the family in a school in the northern part of Manaus. The objectives defined for this study were: to describe the relationship between school management and the family in the school investigated, to analyze the consequences of a possible distancing and to propose the development of programs that narrow the family - school relationship so that this problem can be solved. The research was developed from the Case Study method. For that, we used methodological tools of a qualitative and quantitative nature, such as interviews with the school officials investigated, as well as questionnaires applied to parents, mothers and guardians. In general, the study carried out allowed us to know the vision of the management team and teachers regarding democratic and participative management, as well as the participation of the family in the school. It was also possible to understand how the family feels about their participation in school activities. Based on the information, an Educational Action Plan was drawn up, providing for: a Seminar on Democratic Management at the Ceti João dos Santos Braga School, the preparation of the 2018 Annual Plan, the restructuring of the collegiate bodies, the implementation of the Pais Project Gifts, Efficient Children, a new system of accountability and, finally, the legalization of the Political Pedagogical Project and the Internal Regulation.
