O absenteísmo discente nas aulas de educação física e sua implicação no rendimento de uma escola da rede estadual do Amazonas

Abstract

The following thesis was developed in the ambit of the Master Degree Program of Professional Post Graduation in Management and Evaluation of Public Education of the Public Policies and Teaching Evaluation Center of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. The management case to be studied will discuss the student absenteeism in Physical Education classes in a Amazonas State Network public school, and its possible relations and implications over the student school achievement, in the period of time from 2011 to 2015. The research seeks to analyze the scenario in which Physical Education classes are put forth with the student absenteeism in the development of the Physical Education theoretical classes and practices and its connections with School Income as a general goal. The objectives set to this study were to describe the relation of educational organization and management in school levels and the Educational District Coordination with the development of the curriculum component Physical Education in the final years of Middle School; analyze the teacher activities' reality and pedagogical practices of the curriculum component in the teaching environment, and the factors that contribute to absenteeism in Physical Education classes; and to propose actions to be developed during the execution of the Educational Action Plan - EAP. We see as hypothesis that absence and school failure are influenced by many factors originated in the teaching dynamic, in the legal aspects that constitute the teaching system organization, in the physical and material structure, in the teacher's formation, in the family's participation in the teaching-learning process, and in the local management and governmental action. The theoretical reference is supported by studies of Patto (1997), Abramovay (2002, 2015), Beltrami (2011). Bracht (1992), Ladeira e Darido (2003), Freire (2002) e Freire e Scaglia (2003). As so, we used as methodology the qualitative research and as tool of such research the interviews done with the Schools Manager, the Adviser of Physical Education of District Coordinating of Education and with two professor of Physical Education of the school, the interviews were done from January's second and January's seven of 2017. The results of the research lead to the necessity of equalize and systematize the procedures of organization, control and monitoring of the students in the school's ambient, as so indicate a insufficiency of the continued formation to the professor e the urgency to build a locker room for the students to change their clothes before and after the Physical Education Class. The reading of this article must lead to the questioning in similar scenario, the investigative work, the analyses done and the plan presented may help in others researches the intend to fight the student's absenteeism and school's failure.
