Análise da fragilidade ambiental a processos erosivos no município de Campos Gerais-MG

Abstract

The purpose of this project was to map the environmental fragility of the erosion of Campos Gerais- MG adopting the methodology of empirical fragility of Ross (1994 ) . The municipality is located in the south of Minas Gerais in the microregion of Varginha, between the geographical coordinates 21 ° 14'06 '' S latitude and 45 ° 45'31 '' W longitude, with the neighboring cities, Boa Esperança and Campo do Meio at north, Santana da Vargem at east, at south Paraguaçu and Fama and at west Alfenas. Integrates these cities along with the Circuito das Águas, which comprises the entire complex of Represa de Furnas. Due to intense agricultural production in the county , large tracts of native forests were extinguished and the remaining are scattered fragments of native and secondary vegetation . There are many environmental problems caused by the misuse of these resources , but can highlight those related to erosion that has become greatly accelerated , with sediments from the spaces destined for agricultural production . So it became valid application of the methodology on which the analysis was performed using natural and anthropogenic factors of the site , which contributed to the understanding of its complexity. This mapping of environmental fragility allowed evaluate the potential of the environment in an interrelated manner. It is understood that this approach has a fundamental role in environmental planning of the municipality .
