Abstract

The humanitary intervention practice is a mechanism found by the international community to react against serious, massive and large scale violations of human rights. It’s authorization is granted by the UN Security Council, that by the analysis of some requirements determines if it is necessary or not. The objective of this assay it’s to demonstrate how one of those requirements, the success perspectives of the post intervention’s previous evaluation, although receives secondary treatment, due its complexity and subjectivity, is important and can determine the success and effectiveness of one intervention. To confirm the argument, the intervention case in Somalia, their lack of planning and the consequences of it will be analyzed. By speaking of it, it is expected to contribute to the debate about the humanitarian interventions and the existence blanks in international law about that specific theme.
