A percepção da paisagem, lazer e a educação no Jardim Botânico da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora

Abstract

The Botanical Garden of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), located in the area known as Mata do Krambeck, holds significant importance for the members of the society in Juiz de Fora and for the city’s identity. It holds not only environmental value but also evokes personal feelings for the citizens of Juiz de Fora. Moreover, this article provides a clearer overview of the perception of the landscape in the Botanical Garden through the perspective of the local residents. To this end, it is related to the city’s identity. For this purpose, bibliographic and documentary research was conducted to understand the history of the place, social changes, andgeographical significance. Other forms of research were also conducted, such as a semi-structured questionnaire using Google Forms, administered on-site with spontaneous visitors.
