Colaboradores da seção meu jornal da revista O Tico-Tico: forjando um ideal de criança (1935-1940)

Abstract

The aim of this research paper is to understand the magazine O Tico-Tico as part ofa web of political and cultural relations, but also as a unit of literature. In order to achieve this general objective, we analyzed the publications attributed to children andyoung people in the section “Meu Jornal” between 1935 and 1940. This section was anintegral part of O Tico-Tico magazine, the first comic book to circulate in Brazil between 1905 and 1961. The editors of O Tico-Tico established the format of the sections, deciding and defining the signs that would be present in the header, the footer and the texts to be published in that space. The editorial project of the magazine O Tico-Tico aimed to disseminate a specific type of national Children's Literature aligned with a particular culture circulating at the time, that is, a national Children's Literature in which themes such as civility, ethics, morality, education were present, but also entertainment as a constant in the publications assigned to children and young people in the section “Meu Jornal”.
