Uma análise da paisagem ferroviária de Juiz de Fora (MG) e seu imaginário social

Abstract

The landscape has a fundamental role in geographic and social reality, and it can be understood through different perceptions and sensibilities that underlie the experiences of the subjects in their collective and individual lives. However, this is an important study in the railway landscape of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, considering that it is a topic poorly explored in its context. Thus, this work seeks to discuss and present the railway landscape as a phenomenological experience and as an inhabited and produced territory. The methodology used has qualitative character, and the use of bibliographic references, documentary analysis and interviews is present in this research. Finally, as an analysis tool was used the Nvivo Software, which presented a perception/feeling result that is considered positive in relation to the Residents of the urban region of Benfica and the landscape in which they are inserted.
