O trabalho dos assistentes sociais nas organizações da sociedade civil no Município de Juiz de Fora – MG

Abstract

The current study aims to analyze the challenges posed to the work of the social worker in the implementation of the Social Assistance Policy inside Juiz de Fora - MG’s Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), such being done by reading the masters’ dissertations from the Social Services Post-Graduation Program of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora’s Social Services College, which were written between 2007 and 2021. Firstly, it was sought to understand the development of the Capitalist Mode of Production, mainly the monopolistic phase, in order to understand the development process, complexification and expansion of the expressions of the social issue in that phase, as well as, also, to understand the role played by social policies on the issue of addressing the needs presented by the society. After carrying out the study, it was sought to analyze the capitalist development process on Brazil, as well as the trajectory of the social assistance in the country and the role taken by Social Service on the issue of addressing the expressions of the social issue. Furthermore, considering the position of salaried worker assumed by the social worker, it was conducted an analysis on the respective theme, considering the limitations, the challenges and the potentialities placed on the professional. Thus, points out that this analysis was necessary before getting to the main goal of this study: the work of the social worker in Minas Gerais' Juiz de Fora’s CSOs.
