| Resumo: | O presente trabalho busca apresentar uma tradução da Ars grammatica de Alcuíno de York (735-804 d.C.). A obra, em formato de diálogo, foi escrita entre 790 d.C e 800 d.C., e não conta, até o presente momento, com traduções em português no Brasil. Para tanto, o autor valeu-se da reprodução de trechos das obras de outros gramáticos como Prisciano e Donato. A tradução e o estudo preliminar que a acompanha segue o arcabouço teórico e os princípios metodológicos da Historiografia da Linguística. Dessa forma, nossa pesquisa procurou aplicar ao trabalho de tradução e aos comentários da obra de Alcuíno os princípios propostos por Koerner (2014) para o estudo de teorias linguísticas antigas, de modo a compreendermos o ensino da língua latina durante a Alta Idade Média no Império Carolíngio. |
| Abstract: | The present work intends to present an unpublished translation in Portuguese of Alcuin of York's Ars grammatica (735-804 AD). The work, written as a dialogue, was produced between 790 AD and 800 AD., and to date, there are no translations into Portuguese in Brazil. For that, the author used the reproduction of excerpts from the works of other grammarians such as Priscian and Donatus. The translation and the preliminary study that accompanies it follows the theoretical framework and methodological principles of the Historiography of Linguistics. Thus, our research sought to apply to Alcuin's work the principles proposed by Koerner (2014) for the study of ancient linguistic theories, in order to understand the teaching of Latin syntax during the High Middle Ages in the Carolingian Empire. |
