Resumo:	Este trabalho trata de uma proposta de estudo da área de guras planas para alunos do ensino médio. Começaremos demonstrando fórmulas para o cálculo de área de guras como paralelogramo e trapézio partindo do conhecimento da área de um retângulo. Em seguida, faremos uma aproximação do valor da área de uma região plana delimitada em parte pelo grá co de uma função. Esta aproximação será feita utilizando a área de retângulos.
Abstract:	This work is a proposal to study the area of plane gures for high school students. We begin by showing formulas for the calculation of area of gures as the pallelogram and the trapezoid, starting from knowledged of the area of a rectangle. Next, we make an approximation of the value of the area of a plane gure bounded, in part, by the graph of a function. This approximation will be done using the area of retangles.
