Necropolítica e a ADPF 635: uma análise das intervenções policiais no Rio de Janeiro sob a ótica da teoria política de Achille Mbembe

Abstract

The present work will seek to understand the possible relationship between racism and police interventions in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The theoretical framework used was about the notions of biopower and necropolitics of Achille Mbembe (year), especially the death policy theorized by the author, as well as the racial and hygiene policy that finds shelter in the Rio de Janeiro police interventions that give rise to police massacres, the from the deflagration of rights such as security, dignity, freedom and life. For this purpose, the bibliographic research of criminological doctrines, political theories and others is adopted as a methodology. It was concluded that the police reality in Rio de Janeiro operationalizes the policy of death to the black and poor body, socially marginalized, using excuses such as the reduction of crime and the war on drugs for racial biological control, social hygiene and black extermination, generating as result in the sub-humanity of this population and the exclusion of their individual rights and citizen dignity.
