A proteção integral da criança e do adolescente: análise ao trabalho infantil

Abstract

This article aims to analyze and identify child labor in Brazil, dialoguing with the current legislative situation that guarantees the rights of children and adolescents. At first, we talk about the basic principle of Integral Protection of Children and Adolescents, to demonstrate the importance of caring for the individual's physical and mental formation. From this, historical rescues were made that marked the exploitation of child labor in Brazil, due to the devaluation of childhood. Nevertheless, the terminology and the concept were used to demystify the term "minor" and the minimum age to enter the labor market. In addition, we studied some modalities of child labor, namely: rural, domestic, family and artistic work. And we deal with causes that influence premature entry to work, considering public policies that seek to reduce and eradicate child labor.
