A participação e desempenho dos estudantes do Ensino Médio na área de Ciências Humanas e Sociais, no SADEAM, de 2014 a 2019

Abstract

The importance of investigating the results of the Amazonas State Students Performance Evaluation System - SADEAM, from on the students’ participation in the exam, in the area of Human Sciences, in the stage of High School, considering the last three editions of application, that were, in 2014, 2015 and 2019, which stimulated the preparation of this study. The literature review began with the history of this statewide large-scale assessment; the importance of assessing the Human and Social Sciences; and, the survey of the data statistical of the referred evaluation. The importance of student participation, especially from District Coordinators 01 and 05, the shifts and modalities offered by the schools of the seven State Education Coordinators, in the capital of Amazonas, was part of the theoretical-methodological of this research. The seven District Coordinators Education in Amazonas, located in Manaus, was the spatial cutout of this study. By analyzing the data, it was noticed that there is a relationship between participation and proficiency in school performance. The research showed that the District Education Coordination Office, that presented the highest score of proficiencies in the three editions, was that one in which High School classes are offered in the morning and afternoon shifts and in regular education. And the Coordination Office with the lowest proficiency rates is that one where the schools have a significant number of classes in the evening shift and in the modalities of Youth and the Adult Education and from those ones of the Teaching with Technological-Mediated Education.
