A arquitetura de Zaha Hadid e a moda

Abstract

Zaha Hadid was an important Iraqi architect established in London who became the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize, considered the Nobel of architecture. Her work, scattered in the most diverse places in the world, reveal influences of the Russian Vanguards, especially of the painter Kasimir Malevich, and also the deconstructivism, a movement characterized by fragmentation and non-rectilinear forms. During her career, Hadid conceived bold and sculptural buildings. The actual work intends to interpret the style of the architect and the textures found in certain points of some of its buildings in order to represent those textures in apparel. Through careful research on the architect's paper work, three works were selected to serve as inspiration for the creation of the looks, which considered the details and structures present in those buildings. Subsequently, to simulate these structures, the fabrics of each look were submitted to different types of interventions. Finally, the creations are presented as proof that it is possible, as in architecture, to design daring pieces by using simple modeling. Therefore, this paper presents a relationship between fashion and architecture, allowing transform the conventional processes of clothing creation through a creative approach in fabrics.
