Liubova Popova e Varvara Stepanova: convergências entre moda e vanguarda no início do século XX

Abstract

At the beginning of the twentieth century, in a context of advanced social revolution, an artistic avant-garde breaks out, new sociocultural and economic patterns germinated and constructed or known as Constructivism. Genuine Russian aesthetic movement that integrates as artisanal techniques and artistic industrial production, bringing its production to the daily lives of citizens and adapting to the needs of a new socialist society. It is in this social space that the work of artists Liubova Popova and Varvara Stepanova was established. To delineate all this historical episode finally attempted as concerns: how did their work make a convergence between fashion and art at the beginning of the century, and how did this historical agreement came about? Do the gender dynamics used in the movement understand the place of women and the gender reorganizations used in this new regime of altered ceiling changes? The aim of the research is to draw a historical approach of three fields of production and knowledge: applied arts, fashion and gender, understood within the field of arts. Bringing the elements of intersections as the object of fundamental analysis for investigation, this intersection being a central figure in the production of artists, with a survey of discourse about the artistic object
