| Resumo: | O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar a percepção de 26 praticantes e ex-praticantes amadores da categoria adulto de handebol sobre as lesões sofridas por eles durante sua trajetória por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa. As lesões mais citadas foram as de dedo das mãos, tornozelo e joelho, devido a acidentes por contato físico e falta de planejamento dos treinos. A principal estratégia citada como possível prevenção foi o fortalecimento muscular. O resultado demonstrou como algumas das dificuldades da prática amadora impactam diretamente na ocorrência de lesões. O estudo possibilita, assim, ampliar os olhares para o esporte, normalmente abordado pelo viés do alto rendimento, em sua dimensão recreativa. |
| Abstract: | This qualitative study investigated, through interviews and content analysis of the perception of 26 practitioners and former amateur practitioners of adult handball category about the injuries suffered by them during their trajectory. The most cited injuries were the fingers, ankle and knee, due to accidents, physical contact and lack of training planning. The main strategy cited as possible prevention was muscle strengthening. The result showed how some of the difficulties of amateur practice directly impacts the occurrence of the injuries. The study makes it possible to expand the eyes to the sport, usually approached by the bias of the high performance, in its recreational dimension. |
