Abstract: This intervention project aims to address the impressions, memories, and learning of high school students about the political events of 1964, 1992, (2013) and 2016 after the natural exposure to fake news, memes, and discourses currently promoted on social media. A previous survey was conducted with the students, where they answered a questionnaire and commented on the teaching of History, memes and fake news, and it was found that most had been influenced by the latter on their curricular learning of History, as well as on the values that guide the representative democracy, which shows that memes are objects of communication. Based on this premise, the intervention project aims to develop four training workshops for a greater understanding of the dynamics of alteration of memories promoted by fake news via memes, taking as its sample the political scenario. The project presents steps to be accomplished, having as its culmination a product that includes the preparation of reports, memes, panels and seminars on the topics involved. The objectives are to: develop source analysis; identify and understand narratives and memories about the selected events; understand and realize the importance of checking information on the internet and social media; relate recent political processes in the context of the production of fake news and memes; and provide inputs for the creation of memetic and educational material.
