O uso do SPAECE pela Secretaria Municipal da Educação de Quixadá: desafios e possibilidades

Abstract

This work aims to investigate the impact of the SPAECE (Sistema Permanente de Avaliação da Educação Básica do Ceará – “Permanent System of Evaluation of Basic Education of Ceará”) – at public education of Quixadá, state of Ceará, Brazil, with a focus on the GEB (Gerência da Educação Básica, “Management of Basic Education”), an educational sector of the SME (Secretaria Municipal da Educação – Municipal Department of Education) of the mentioned town. Throughout the chapters, data and analysis are presented on the design, research and use of the SPAECE by the GEB, collected through semi-structured questionnaires and documentary records, discussed in the light of the theoretical framework on external evaluation. The research reveals, among other things, the need for a more qualified control of the data set of the SPAECE by the GEB and a greater alignment of its actions to the results of the test and a more incisive geared to the classes of 9th year. These results delineate the proposition of a set of actions that can facilitate, through the SPAECE, the consolidation of evaluative culture in order to improve the quality of education in the town, in all the years of elementary school.
