O acolhimento integrado em um serviço de atenção secundária ao diabético

Abstract

This research has a purpose of investigate, from the workers and users vision, the possible changes occurred on production methods of health after the establishment of integrated user embracement on Diabetes Clinic of The University Hospital of Juiz de Fora. For this a qualitative review was developed which conducted semi structured interviews with users, health workers and headship of Department of Diabetes, recorded on audio and transcribed for evaluation by Discourse Analysis. The interviews allowed the identification of practices of Health Education in integrated user embracement as the point of originality of the implement. After his execution, changes in the relationships between users and health workers were verified, creating a great patient empowerment, regarding the development of his/her treatment plan, due to space exchanges made possible by user embracement. Minimizing the centralization of production processes of health on the doctor, there was a reorganization of the service to change the flow of care, increase the exchange of information and increased access to non-medical areas, creating greater utilization of these workers and solving the demands of patients. It Can be considered that the practice of user embracement is valid and it can be replicated in other health services, but it must rely on the broad participation of those involved in health care and respect the particularities of where the work will be done. However, this tool can´t be understood as something capable of solving all the problems of users or the service in isolation, and it is a practice in health, which must integrate with the other actions and policies of single health system (SUS, aiming at overcoming the challenges of Brazilian public health). Among the challenges that the integrated user embracement needs to overcome are the expansion and formalization of information exchange, instability of workers in their positions and the preparation of the group to work at the Clinic with the logic of the integrated user embracement.
