Pagú: escritos literários e inscrições históricas

Abstract

Patrícia Galvão (Pagú) actively participated in the group of cannibal modernists but became known only as the muse of the movement. After the silence of the official Brazilian political and literary history, the myth "Pagú free and rebellious woman" has spread, however, analyses highlighting her political importance and more specifically her writing are few and the content of her political experience appears diluted amidst questions related to her personal life. This thesis studies Pagú's work from her anthropophagic approach of writing and life, considered line of flight the discursive practices of her time. To understand the eligibility of her writings, the analysis entails bringing to light the plots of power-knowledge in which literary criticism and literary history were, at that moment, surrounded. To this end, adds to the archaeological and genealogical analysis, the study of visual richness expressed in the materiality of her work; unusual and diverse graphic/typesetting usage; the presence of interlaced visual and textual elements; and their performances, as represented by their heteronyms. Finally, there is the composition of an aesthetic committed to the experiment, linked to the anthropophagic the forefront, in which the mobile creates 'marks' that through the 'escreler' actualize a "bodywriting".
