Entre lembranças e silêncios – memórias de mulheres alunas de EJA

Abstract

Appropriating from the studies about gender, a concept that considers social relations involving constructions that give rise to men and women, and yet the theories on memory, in its relation to history and the perceptions of past, present and the future, I seek to understand this work the different perceptions of history of women students in the classrooms of EJA (Educação de Jovens e Adultos). This research was conducted with three women, aged over 50 years, students in a public school in the city of Juiz de Fora / MG, whom was on the end of the school, marked by numerous interruptions. Among the objectives is the attempt to understand the relationship between these women and some men, and also between them and other women, the past, school and knowledge. Thus, this research focused on post-structuralist perspective, based on dialogue with authors who dealt with the categories Gender, Memory and School. I do not seek truth from the discussions, since the concern was to discuss the situations that arose from the fieldwork, relating them to the discussions held in Social Sciences. The main issues, which have risen others, were: What is the understanding of past memories mobilized by women students of EJA? What brands give the trajectories of their lives? That can draw relationships between the life stories of these women and discussions involving Women, Art and History? These problems have led me during the construction work, on the argument about the different relationships that build women and men in our society, "marking" their relations with the school, with the past, and with the projects involving prospects.
