O direito à saúde: representações de usuários de unidade básica de saúde

Abstract

This study aimed to represent the right to health made by the user of a health service at the city of Valença, state of Rio de Janeiro, known representations of the users on the health-disease-process; analyze the representations of users on the social determinants participation in the health-illness, identify the forms of individuals organization from the community to ensure their right to health. A qualitative approach has been used, the data seized by the semi-structured, organized based on thematic analysis and taking the theoretical assumptions of the theory of social representations to analyze them. The representations of the users show health as the absence of symptoms that prevent their actions from living everyday without restrictions. On the other hand the disease is represented as physical symptoms related to organic changes. They represent the right to health as something legally established, but that the lack of community organization and lack of commitment of public authorities and professional reflect in a negative way so that the fact in practice has comproved that effectuation. The representation of the right to developed health, is linked to full operation of the unity health, to the equality and equity in access to the given services and such representation indicate the necessity for actions that put the user of the health service as a protagonist in realization of this right.
