O projeto educativo da Fundação Vale: uma investigação sobre o Programa Escola que Vale

Abstract

In the early years of Century XXI, the notion of corporate social responsibility became a vigorous strategy action in favor to the common good. The necessity of sustainable social actions earns reinforcement with the worry about education as one of the principal ways to reach them. With this corporate configuration, the third sector is organized to intervene in society through the private devices of the hegemony. This work results of a research from analysis of an educational program performed by Vale Company: School that Vale. It is a critical study that is concerned about private involvement in the educational questions interpenetrating, in its turn, the state apparatus through the new strategy action of the third line to the achievement of its projects, the partnership. Thus, this dissertation makes a study about an educational program developed and funded by Vale Company in a Minas Gerais inner city. The Program School that Vale (EQV) proposes to develop teachers training courses that are active in the basic education of the municipal institutions all over the country. This program was structured from a partnership between the Foundation Vale complex (FV), Documentation and Education Center to the Community Action (CEDAC) and local prefectures. This partnership has a big coverage with visibility in four Brazilian states (Espírito Santo, Maranhão, Minas Gerais and Pará). In an analysis perspective of the historical materialism, this text proposes to unveil the essence from the phenomenon manifestation. Thus, it was possible to make a critical analysis of this specific partnership.
