Abstract: Football, beyond being a sporting practice, constitutes an important social, cultural, and economic phenomenon in the Brazilian context, being closely related to identity, belonging, and different forms of mobility. In this sense, this study aims to analyze how supporters who travel to follow their teams can be understood as tourists, as well as how this displacement translates into flows, consumption, and opportunities for host destinations. Methodologically, this research is exploratory and descriptive, with a qualitative approach, based on bibliographic and documentary review. Scientific articles, dissertations, undergraduate theses, and institutional documents related to sport tourism and football tourism were used, covering themes such as traveling supporters, stadiums, museums, tours, and national and international travel. The results indicate that football-motivated tourism occurs recurrently, involving both domestic and international trips and articulating passion, consumption, and experience. It is evident that the traveling supporter goes beyond the role of a spectator, acting as a consumer of tourism services by stimulating sectors such as accommodation, food services, transportation, and local attractions. In addition, stadiums, museums, and tours emerge as products capable of expanding the experience beyond the match itself. It is concluded that football tourism is a multifaceted phenomenon that goes beyond the sporting event and reveals the potential of football as a relevant segment of tourism, capable of generating flows and contributing to the development of destinations.
