| Resumo: | O objetivo deste Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso foi revisar a literatura científica pertinente, identificando as possíveis causas da perda de implantes odontológicos. Realizou-se buscas nas plataformas digitais de bases científicas PUBMED, GOOGLE ACADÊMICO E SCIELO utilizando os termos Osseointegração, perda de implantes e periimplantites. Concluiu-se que as perdas de implantes dentários apresentam um caráter multifatorial, sendo que todas as etapas devem ser levadas em consideração, desde a avaliação inicial do paciente até a manutenção do caso já concluído. |
| Abstract: | The objective of this Course Completion Work was to review the relevant scientific literature, identifying the possible causes of the loss of dental implants. Searches were carried out on scientifically based digital platforms PUBMED, GOOGLE ACADÊMICO AND SCIELO using the terms Osseointegration, implant loss and peri-implantitis. It was concluded that dental implant losses are multifactorial, and all steps must be taken into consideration, from the initial assessment of the patient to the maintenance of the already completed case. |
