| Resumo: | A Odontologia evoluiu enormemente nas últimas décadas, contudo, apesardasgrandes conquistas científicas muitos indivíduos sofrem por não teremcondiçõesdeacesso ao tratamento. O sorriso do paciente é um dos fatores de aceitaçãosocial einflui sobremaneira em sua autoestima e em sua integração à sociedade. Esteartigoapresenta um caso clínico integrado no qual a técnica odontológica éapresentadapasso-a-passo, desde o aumento de coroa clínica dental, passando pelotratamentoendodôntido e pela confecção de provisório até a instalação deumacoroametalocerâmica. Por meio dos procedimentos odontológicos realizados, restituiu-seàpaciente a função e a estética da área afetada e, por meio do acolhimentoedahumanização, a sua autoestima foi também trabalhada. |
| Abstract: | Dentistry has evolved enormously in recent decades, however, despitethegreat scientific achievements, many individuals suffer fromnot beingabletoaccess treatment. The patient's smile is one of the factors of social acceptanceand greatly influences their self-esteem and their integration intosociety. Thisarticle presents an integrated clinical case in which the dental techniqueispresented step-by-step, from the lengthening of a clinical dental crown,through endodontic treatment and provisional making to the installationofametal-ceramic crown. Through the dental procedures performed, thefunctionand aesthetics of the affected area were restored to the patient and, throughwelcoming and humanization, her self-esteem was also worked on. |
