Possibilidades e limitações da implementação do BIM no ensino de Arquitetura e Urbanismo do CAU/FAU/UFJF

Abstract

This dissertation is the result of research into the implementation of building information modeling (BIM) in the teaching of Architecture and Urbanism. The field of teaching Architecture and Urbanism has a challenge nowadays in relation to the level of proximity and integration with new technologies, therefore, this work aims to highlight the possibilities and limitations of implementing BIM in the teaching of Architecture and Urbanism. Urbanism in the course at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (CAU/FAU/UFJF). With a descriptive and exploratory qualitative methodological approach with the character of participatory research, we started with a literature review on the implementation of BIM in higher education institutions (HEIs) and outlined the main concepts that made it possible to nourish an analysis of data from the empirical collection carried out. It was possible to gather interpretations that guided the construction of a matrix of weaknesses, threats, strengths and opportunities for BIM implementation in teaching at CAU/FAU/UFJF.
