Abstract

Artificial Intelligence has emerged as a major theme in the current digitalization scenario, with significant transformative potential in the economic and social spheres. Given its ability to replicate human practices, this technology covers a wide range of applications and can be implemented in the most diverse areas, from operational processes to more strategic actions, preferably where human action is less efficient. This monograph seeks to explore the possibilities offered by AI, examining its interaction with economic indicators, as well as its influence on the reality of companies. The scope of the analysis includes the impact of the adoption of artificial intelligence techniques on the productivity of countries, the level of adoption of AI and its disruptive potential and the competitive advantages gained from implementing the technology. The aim of this research is to provide a deeper understanding of the paths that AI is taking in the contemporary world, contributing to a critical reflection on the implications and future directions of this innovative technology.
