Abstract

This research aims to address the concept of jihad, your polysemy, and also from the theories of the Egyptian thinker Sayyid Qutb. In this way we try to understand the meanings used by the concept in political and religious side, and later with a political focus make an analysis of the concept, and how it is applied in the current conjunctures in terrorist movements. In a modern perspective yet, to get a better possibilities of coexistence between East and West, to conclude, it is necessary work with the concept of jihad from a dialogical and pluralistic perspective.
