| Resumo: | A corrupção é um fenômeno multifacetado que se manifesta, em maior ou menor medida, em diferentes países ao redor do mundo. Portanto, faz-se necessário observar o debate sobre o tema em diferentes países. Com isso, o objetivo geral desse trabalho é analisar aspectos teóricos e conceituais ligados à corrupção, com vistas a entender como ela ocorre, as causas e quais os efeitos na estrutura política, econômica e social dos países. Para isso, foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica em artigos científicos, teses, dissertações, pesquisas, revistas e obras pertinentes que compreendam a área da corrupção e desenvolvimento econômico. Como principal resultado, identificou-se que a corrupção exerce impactos negativos e significativos no desenvolvimento econômico, promovendo a redução da eficiência, produtividade e aumento dos custos. |
| Abstract: | Corruption is a multifaceted phenomenon that manifests itself, to in a greater or lesser extent step, in different countries around the world. Having this, it is necessary to observe the debate on the subject in different countries. Therewith, the general objective of this work is to analyze theoretical and conceptual aspects related to corruption, in order to understand ing how it occurs, the causes and what are the effects on the political, economic and social structure of the countries. The present work was based on a bibliographic review of scientific articles, theses, dissertations, researches, magazines and relevant works that includes the area of corruption and economic development. As a the main result, this work has identified that corruption has negative and significant impacts on economic development, promoting the reduction of efficiency, productivity and the costs increase. |
