| Resumo: | O presente trabalho apresenta reflexões sobre os problemas do colonialismo na formação social latino-americana, em especial do Brasil, a partir do pensamento social brasileiro. Como fonte de análise buscou-se intérpretes de verve reconhecidamente radical, politicamente revolucionários, que defendem uma ruptura profunda com a herança colonial dentro de seus projetos emancipatórios. O enfoque na sociedade brasileira trouxe à pesquisa diferentes autores e entendimentos de Brasil e de revolução, dentre eles destacou-se Manoel Bomfim (1868 – 1932), selecionado como objeto de análise a partir de seus trabalhos América Latina: males de origem (1905), O Brasil na América (1929), o Brasil na História (1930) e O Brasil Nação (1931). Nessas obras, foram identificados os diferentes movimentos de interpretação histórica e significação política que o autor traça para pensar revolução no Brasil. A veia crítica de Bomfim em relação às classes dirigentes permitiu-lhe elencar e categorizar aspectos reacionários recorrentes nos processos de ruptura e transição do Estado brasileiro e a traçar possibilidades de ampliação da democracia e da justiça social mediante um “utopista” projeto de revolução popular. |
| Abstract: | The present study presents reflections on the problems of colonialism in Latin American social formation, especially in Brazil, from the Brazilian social thought. As a source of analysis, we sought interpreters of verve admittedly radical, politically revolutionary, who defend a deep break with the colonial heritage within their emancipatory projects. The focus on Brazilian society brought to research different authors and understandings of Brazil and revolution, among them Manoel Bomfim (1868 - 1932), selected as object of analysis from his works Latin America: evils of origin (1905), Brazil in America (1929), Brazil in History (1930) and Brazil Nation (1931). In these works, the different movements of historical interpretation and political significance that the author traces to think revolution in Brazil were identified. The critical vein of Bomfim in relation to the ruling classes allowed the author to list and categorize recurring reactionary aspects in the processes of rupture and transition of the Brazilian state and to trace possibilities of expansion of democracy and social justice through a "utopian" project. |
