Do morro pro mundo: o audiovisual na representação de artistas da periferia

Abstract

This is the descriptive memorial of the experimental project "Do morro pro mundo: the audiovisual in the representation of artists from the periphery", which aims to experiment the format of the video clip and documentary, of the rap genre, from the idealization, musical creation to the finalization of the products, incorporating the entire audiovisual process of pre production, production and post-production. The project, produced by the Radio, TV and Internet course at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, aims to seek the possibilities that rap and its visual representation, through clips and documentaries, provide for the artist and the people involved in a peripheral context. The social ascension presented on screen is the focus of the experiment. Understanding how and why it affects those who watch it, was part of the product conception process. So that, the project is elaborated from multiple performances seen in products of the musical genre, its characterization to, then, its creation. It means, it was necessary to understand the path of musical creation and the context that the artist was inserted, to enable products that convey this message.
