Livros de literatura infantil do 1º ao 3º ano do ensino fundamental: escolhas docentes

Abstract

Acknowledging that children's literature plays an important role in human formation, since it is able to contribute to the construction of critical and reflective people, and that children's literature books are part of everyday school life, the present research sought to understand the criteria teachers use for the choice of children's literature books from the 1st to the 3rd year of Elementary School. In order to encourage the interview with the teachers about children's literature books and also about the criteria they establish for choosing them, we selected, among the books of the “PNLD Literário 2018”, those that were more often chonsen from schools in the municipal network in which the teachers work. The teacher’s speeches were analysed in order to identify the criteria that guide the choice of children's literature books and verify the participation in the choice of PNLD Literário books. To do this, we adopted Content Analysis as a research methodology according to Bardin's (2016) guidelines. It was possible to verify that, among the criteria, the possibility of using children's literature books as a didactic resource to be used within the classroom, especially for teaching reading and writing, predominates.
