A construção da identidade feminina em Instapoemas de Rupi Kaur e Ryane Leão

Abstract

In face of a scenario of struggles and ruptures of everything that marginalizes women, this work focuses on the study of poems from two female works: Tudo nela brilha e queima (2017), by Ryane Leão, and Milk and Honey (2017), by Rupi Kaur. They are considered Instapoems, that is, poems whose primary means of publication is on Instagram platform, unique features are found in these innovative productions, highlighting the tendency to brevity. Thus, it is possible to visualize a linguistic environment that starts to share space with illustrations and, therefore, contributes to the construction of an extremely visual and symbolic poetic language. Immersed in this context of struggle, claim and subversion, these works present feminism as a means and an end, as well as the defense of an ideal of equality and the valorization of women. For that matter, based on Comparative Literature and with theoretical support, mainly in Feminist Critique, following among other names the precepts by Penke (2019), Zolin (2005; 2019), Zilberman (2018), bell hooks (2019a; 2019b; 2020) and Collins (2019) focus on aspects that show the trajectory of this group from forced and imposed passivity to moments of revolt and rupture, covering a multiplicity of women. Therefore, the aim of this work is to understand in what way and how the poetics of Kaur and Leão point to the path taken by women and elaborate the construction of female identities in their plurality, in addition to the interest in understanding how the virtual environment, mainly represented by Instagram, influences and is influenced by this writing
