Atlas Interativo de Anatomia Dental

Abstract

The way of teaching and learning anatomy has changed over time, mainly due to technological innovation, the internet and the new digital tools that exist today. The quest to improve and facilitate student learning has also increased. In order to aggregate the theoretical and practical study in a more comfortable and didactic way for dentistry students and those interested in the subject, a Basic Atlas of Dental Anatomy was built. All the pieces photographed are from the collection of the Department of Anatomy of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. All were photographed with a Canon EOS Rebel T3i camera, edited in Adobe Photoshop Cs5 and programmed in Adobe Flash Cs4 Professional. All editing and programming was done by a single operator seeking to avoid variations in the final result. With colored pins (blue and red) we identify the anatomical structures in addition to lines that represent grooves and fissures with colored ones representing trigones. When placing the program cursor on the blue pin, we have the name of the structure and when we place it on the red pin, in addition to the name, when we click on it, we have a brief anatomical description of the structure. All images have a title facilitating the anatomical location by those interested. With this, we seek to include theory with practice, for better understanding by dentistry students regarding Dental Anatomy. In addition to a low-cost and practical tool is able to assist the anatomy study even away from the anatomical rooms.
