Trabalho bancário e saúde do trabalhador: análise das condições e relações de trabalho nos bancos públicos em Juiz de Fora/MG

Abstract

The study presented below was performed together with the bank workers from public banks called Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil in the county of Juiz de Fora/MG. Its objective was to analyze the working conditions and relationships in this category and the repercussions in the field of health in the midst of these deep changes in the world of work. We have analyzed the impacts of productive restructuring on the Financial Sector since the 1980s and its consequences in terms of health and working conditions. At the beginning of the research, social isolation was decreed due to the pandemic of COVID19, it forced us to use electronic devices and internet to approach the workers. The informationsfound revealed that bankers' professional lives are fraught with uncertainties, daily pressures, moral harassment, fear, psychological and mental illness. Elements that can characterize that working on a bank makes workers sick and that their way of resistance is the union movement.
