Evasão, abandono escolar e elevação da frequência em uma escola do Centro-Oeste Mineiro: um caso de sucesso no 1º ano do ensino médio

Abstract

The present study developed in the context of the Professional Master's degree in Management and Evaluation of the Public Education (PPGP) of the Center of Public Policies and Evaluation of the Education (CAED) of the Federal University of Judge of Out, characterizes like a case study that aims to understand the actions carried out by the State School “Monsenhor Domingos”, located in a local authority of the mining western-center, along the period of 2016-2019 that, they culminated in the reduction of the rates of school dropout, evasion and infrequency between pupils of the secondary education, with distinction to the results of the 1st year of this education stage. The inquiry, of qualitative and quantitative character, was based on the realization of documentary analyses and, of field work carried out with 261 pupils enrolled in three years that composes the secondary education through the application of semi-structured questionnaires and, glimpsed with the persons in charge by the administrative and pedagogic attendance of the institution of teaching open to question. Through the fulfilled documentary analyses, it demonstrated the improvement of the rates of flow and pedagogic performance of the institution in the last years and, after realization of the field work, it ended which determined actions carried out by the entity present straight impact in the frequency of the pupils and permanence of same in the school standing out: the psychological service, week of evaluations, possibility of dialog with direction and teachers, presence of the family in the school, projects existence recuperation, I stimulate the actions proposed and coordinated by the pupils, between others. From the consolidated one of the interviews of the persons in charge for the attendance of the school for part of the Regional Bureau of Teaching, one was noticed that both servants detach the actions of incentive and the management opened to the dialog like points of distinction of the school. After analysis of the data made possible the preparation of a Plan of Education Action (PEA) that aims at the reduction of the rates of escape, desertion and infrequency in the secondary education, great challenges of this education stage in the country, through the repeat of actions already developed in the daily life of the school which tells the present to itself and, they are thought by his pupils of positive impact in such variables.
