A representação da identidade étnica da população negra no Programa de Avaliação da Educação Básica do Espírito Santo (PAEBES) nas áreas de Ciências Humanas e Linguagens

Abstract

This dissertation investigates how the identity of the black population is represented in instruments of evaluation of the areas of humanities and languages in the PAEBES project in the years 2012, 2014 and 2016. This management case will be based on the analysis of the following problem: how to elaborate proposals to qualitatively improve the approach of the racial ethnic theme in the PAEBES project with a focus on human sciences and languages? To this end, the question that will be investigated will be precisely how the approach of racial ethnic themes, linked to the black population, is being represented within the PAEBES project. We assume as a hypothesis that the black population is subrepresented in the reference matrix and in the elaborate items that help compose the PAEBES project, as well as the possibility of addressing themes related to Afro and African culture and history. Thus, the general objective of this research proposal is to propose strategies to optimize the elaboration of items of the disciplines of humanities and languages, adapting them to the legal structure linked to ethnic-racial issues. To this end, we defined as specific objectives: i) to identify how many descriptors address the ethnic-racial theme linked to the black population relating them to the items of the Basic Education Evaluation Program of Espírito Santo and the respective matrix The state of Espírito Santo. II) analyze the items of the PAEBES assessments in the areas of humanities and languages and the adequacy with the legislation pertinent to the topics related to ethnic-racial relations. III) Propose strategies and/or instruments to enlarge, following elaboration criteria created for this, the representativeness of ethnic-racial themes related to the Afro-Brazilian history and culture in the items for humanities and languages. For this purpose, we will use the qualitative methodology and as instruments for data collection to conduct interviews with the human sciences and CAEd languages analysts. This research has as theoretical reference the analyses of Eyng (2015), Moraes and Ferreira (2015), Saraiva, Simões and Oliveira (2014) and Goodson (1997), Gomes (2012) and Munanga (2015) regarding curriculum, ethnicracial relations and evaluation. The aim of this work was to develop an action plan that aims to ensure the improvement and effective presence of the black population in the PAEBES project in a qualitative way within the perspective of valuing the culture, identity and history of this population.
