Abstract: The research investigates the ruins and discursive traces, whose narrative forms were able to penetrate through the cracks of hegemonic discourses and escape their control, and is articulated in two complementary fronts, History and Communication, wose “elective affinities” concern the reflection about the instances of interlocution , the limits and possibilities of dialogue between two epistemologies. It is recovered, through information collected in periodicals, military-legal processes, reports from the Comissões da Verdade no Brasil, depositions given to the Comissão da Verdade de Juiz de Fora, files from DOPS-MG and DEOPS-SP, in addition to the US government archives, part of the history of resistance to the 1964 civil-military dictatorship in Brazil, by political activists in the city of Juiz de Fora, during the 1960s and 1970s. These individuals built small collaborative information networks, consisting of manuscripts, letters, notes, pamphlets and clandestine newspapers in an attempt to break the siege of censorship and arbitration, even facing the silencing of the press. The discursive strategies used by the press and clandestine productions to narrate the events are identified, interpreting what were the criteria used to disclose or hide the facts, as analyzing the role of these discourses during the period of the civil-military dictatorship is to seek to establish a dialogue with the memory of a troubled time. Therefore, it was necessary to map social relations, their reconfigurations and their different forms of production, assessing their impacts on news production, circulation and consumption, establishing the facts and managing the construction of a sense of the past in the present, guaranteeing the problematization and the intelligibility of representations of the past that last in the collective memory and that helped to consolidate certain narratives to the detriment of others. Through the analysis of the clandestine newspapers O Porrete and Luta, which circulated in Juiz de Fora in the late 1960s, documented in Processo 5/69, and the manuscript newspaper Até Sempre 3, apprehended with the political prisoners of the Colina group, in Linhares Penitentiary, in April 1970, documented in Processo 32/70, we were able to identify resistance to the dictatorial regime. Historical reconstruction was possible by archiving official documents that prove what was attempted to be silenced. In this way, the analysis sought to understand the contradictions of these documents that reflect the activities that gave rise to them, as they were produced under exception regimes.
