| Resumo: | O conto de fadas, de origem popular e pautado na oralidade, migrou por diversas regiões ao longo de épocas distintas, o que acarretou em sucessivas adaptações de acordo com os costumes e culturas diversas. Desta maneira, essas transformações distanciam as versões dos contos conhecidos hoje daquelas contadas em tempos remotos. A partir de uma compreensão inicial dos elementos que caracterizam os contos de fadas em sua origem e no momento atual e dos aspectos que identificam a estética expressionista, busca-se identificar como Tim Burton retoma as características dos contos de fadas tradicionais e qual é o papel dos elementos expressionistas nesse contexto. Para isso, será realizada uma análise do livro O triste fim do pequeno Menino Ostra e outras histórias, de sua autoria, bem como os curtas-metragens do inicio da carreira do diretor: Vincent (1982) e Frankweenie (1984). |
| Abstract: | The fairy tale, popular in origin and based on orality, migrated to different regions over different times, which led to successive adaptations according to different customs and cultures. In this way, these transformations distance the versions of tales known today from those told in ancient times. From an initial understanding of the elements that characterize fairy tales in their origin and in the present moment and the aspects that identify expressionist aesthetics, we seek to identify how Tim Burton recovers the characteristics of traditional fairy tales and what is the role of expressionist elements in this context. For this, an analysis will be made of the book The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Storiesof his own, as well as the short films of the early career of the director: Vincent (1982) and Frankweenie (1984). |
