Da realidade à ficção: a questão da religião e da miscigenação no filme tenda dos milagres

Abstract

This article is based on the interpretation of the movie "Tent of miracles" (1977), directed by Nelson Pereira dos Santos and based on the homonymous work by Jorge Amado. The goal is to draw attention to the use of cinema in education and its trajectory to the present day. In this sense, this relation makes use of the capacity that the cinema has to capture details, clues about the world, the struggles of daily life, social and political struggles that are expressed in the cinema, which is evident when analyzing the movie "Tent of miracles". Which exposes the cultural issues of the time in which it was produced, but above all opens discussion about our society in discussing racism, religious intolerance and the cultural formation of the Brazilian people. With regard to this creation, we put here the discussion of how we can debate the image of the black in the cinema, what were the stereotypes built on the afrodescendant population and also with respect to religion sometimes turned to the idea of witchcraft, the mystic that weigh as pejorative and end up perpetuating common sense. When we speak of religion, we have to take into account the history of Brazil and the coming of Africans to Brazilian lands, and religion as a way of keeping the culture of a people alive, as Prandi (2000) "[...] The black religion that has been remade in Bahia and elsewhere is a reconstitution not only of the African religion, but of many other cultural aspects of the original Africa." Its justification is given by the need to expand themes and sources for a broad analysis with pedagogical practice, starting from the discussion about the formation of pre-established concepts. At this point we have a vast material for pedagogical practice, since this need To know and analyze the classics, not only of literature but also of cinema, here the national cinema, through questions in search of answers to certain subjects, in our case the debate is focused on the issue of racism and religious intolerance, being combated through the knowledge of the formation of the Brazilian people and our culture, putting into practice Law 10.639 / 03.
