Ensino e aprendizagem sobre estrangeirismos em inglês

Abstract

In this study is presented an elaborate and grounded Classroom Plan to treat the English Language Foreign Language in the linguistic-cultural quotidian of the Portuguese Language in Brazil. The methodological proposal is elaborated to be realized in the form of interdisciplinary work covering the disciplines English and Portuguese Language, and will also count with a Performer of Brazilian Sign Language. As a didactic resource, the Plan was designed to be carried out through hybrid teaching, proposing activities for the Inverted Classroom and the use of didactic resources of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Initially the students will make a bibliographical and/or field research of the said words in English in the daily life and in the audiovisual communication spaces next to them. They will then collect the data collected and organize them collectively in the classroom. Considering all this, they will reflect on the historical and cultural contexts of the intense and diverse insertion of English words in the Brazilian language, whether with “contrasting” or not. As final product, there will be the organization and production of a web page with the foreign words, their meanings, their uses and their origin, in the PBworks tool (easy to handle and managed by teachers and students), being able to follow with constant updates and by classes of later years. With this Lesson Plan, it is intended to stimulate the memorization of the meanings of words, pronunciation in English, practice reading and writing, develop research among students, awaken the interaction between students with the use of the English Language and the inclusion of deaf students. Therefore, the expectation is to arouse interest, curiosity and collaboration in learning the English language, leading to know their culture and that of another country. Because education is also the social insertion and support so that the student is able to position himself in the world in which he lives.
