Educação financeira escolar: a noção de poupança no ensino fundamental

Abstract

The present research on Financial Education School was developed in the area of mathematics education and had as its focus the notion of saving. The research objective was to develop a set of tasks, referenced theoretically, on the concept of saving for elementary school students. The study was characterized by a qualitative approach to research and used a field research with students in the eighth year of elementary education in a public school in the city of Fortaleza to validate the tasks and obtain information about the production of meanings of the participants. The analysis of the production of meanings of the students was made from the notions-categories of the Model of the Semantic Fields, when they were submitted to the resolution of the tasks. Its enunciative actions were designed to reflect the financial situation and the savings as an investment and the act of saving money. The tasks had as characteristics to stimulate the production of meanings, from the texts they approached situations-problems of the daily of the students and open questions that admit varied answers without judgment of value for the solutions. The set of tasks culminated in an educational product for use in Mathematics classrooms of Elementary School.
