Tradições orais em contação de histórias: produção de material didático utilizando contos africanos

Abstract

The present work aims to address the oral African tradition through the tales, specifically three narratives from the West African region. The choice of the "tale" genre - to legitimize African identity - is due to the fact of the great relevance literature has, building through the symbolism, cultural representations to the Child-juvenile public. The tale is a powerful and capable narrative that transcending time and real space, less, however, failing to contribute the understanding of internal or external issues to the human being. According the African oral tradition, it is necessary approach the Griots, which are responsible agents for this tradition maintaining.
