dc.description.abstract	This study aims to analyze the work After Virtue by Alasdair MacIntyre with the intent to think about it’s main concepts. It will also be analyzed, in general, the Theory of Justice as Fairness by John Rawls. With this focus, the aim was to establish a possible link and debate around the main ideas and concepts addressed by the authors. To this end, the differences between the Aristotelian teleological model advocated by MacIntyre and the Kantian deontological conception supported by Rawls were also discussed, as well the attempts of the latter author to provide an adequate theory of justice to a new form of social unity no longer associated the specific conceptions of the good. By comparing the two proposals we realize that only Rawls gives us a relevant model to the yearnings of plural and democratic societies.	pt_BR
dc.description.resumo	O presente estudo visa analisar a obra Depois da Virtude de Alasdair MacIntyre, com o intuito de refletir sobre seus principais conceitos. Também será analisada em linhas gerais a Teoria da Justiça como Equidade de John Rawls, buscando estabelecer uma possível ligação e debate em torno das principais idéias dos dois autores. As diferenças do modelo teleológico aristotélico defendido por MacIntyre e do modelo deontológico de matriz kantiana sustentado por Rawls também foram abordadas, bem como as tentativas desse último autor em oferecer uma teoria da justiça adequada a uma nova forma de unidade social não mais associada a concepções específicas do bem. Pela comparação das duas propostas percebemos que apenas a de Rawls nos fornece um modelo pertinente aos anseios das sociedades plurais e democráticas.	pt_BR
