Serviço social e políticas sociais: uma análise dos fundamentos a partir de publicações da área

Abstract

This Course Completion Work (TCC) aims to analyze the relationship between Social Work and the accumulation of knowledge built on public policies, published in some of the most important magazines in the area. We analyze the different theoretical perspectives present in these and the connection of the main matrices of thought. Data were collected from 472 publications by authors with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work, as one of the goals was to reflect on the profession and its relationship with social policies. This first step directed the analyzes to 295 (62.5%) publications, to the detriment of 177 (37.5%) with authors from other backgrounds, showing the feasibility of reaching the objective of this research. Another approach undertaken was to investigate whether the scholars referenced in the publications are part of the notorious intellectual collection of Social Work, articulated with its reflective and critical guideline. The result obtained at this stage demonstrates that the most referenced and cited intellectuals in the publications are part of the accumulation of knowledge with a hegemonic critical direction of Social Work.
